Walking for a Cure

Cancer survivors walk around the track at Jerry Shaffer Stadium in Wylie, kicking off last Fridays Relay for Life, Wylie/Sachse/Murphy. The event, which started Friday evening, ended at 6 a.m. Saturday. Participants, including survivors and caregivers, raised over $90,000 to help fund cancer research. The event lasted 11 hours and included a silent auction and live music by Blaine Mitchell.
