New green design initiative offered through Collin College

Collin College students will be able to experience the Green movement that is shaking the world by participating in the college’s new Green Design Initiative beginning in the fall 2008 with a new Green associate of applied science degree plan coming soon.

The Green Design Initiative is a project within the college’s Interior and Architectural Design AAS program.

According to information from the college, the Green Design Initiative provides courses that are helpful to interested students seeking to enhance their knowledge of Green Design, as well as students wanting an AAS degree in Interior and Architectural Design with an emphasis on Green and Sustainable Design.

Through the Green Design Initiative, students will be introduced to concepts of Green Design, Green Building and Green Remodeling, Collin College officials said.
