‘Little House’ books inspire village pioneer day
Event Details:Dallas Heritage Village’s annual Plow, Plant, and Shear Day (also known as Girl Scout Day) will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 9.
The village is located at 1515 Harwood St. Activities for the day are inspired by the classic “Little House” book series written by Laura Ingalls Wilder. The the books, Ingalls Wilder told the story of growing up during the pioneer period on the Midwestern frontier in the 1870s and 1880s. Attendees are invited to dress as their favorite character from the series and enter the the “Little House” look-alike contest. Tickets can be purchased in advance until April 6. Cost is $5 for children, ages 4-12 (children under 4, free) and $6 for adults and senior citizens. On the day of the event, adult tickets are $2 more All activities are free with admission.
