The Lady Pirates got into the district win column Friday with a 13-3 victory over Wylie East, which came three days after Wylie fell 12-2 to Lovejoy in the 13-4A opener.

The Lady Raiders (0-2 in district) lost their district opener 16-11 at home to Denison.

Wylie hosted Greenville on Tuesday and will travel Friday to McKinney North and then host Denison on Tuesday, March 19.The Lady Raiders played Monday at Sherman and are scheduled to host Greenville on Friday. After that, they’ll play Tuesday, March 19 at Royse City.

Serena Saldivar homered for the Lady Pirates in Friday’s victory, while Ashlyn Pair had two doubles and Megan Slocum had another.

Tristen Castaneda was the winning pitcher in Friday’s contest.
