A pair of crosstown rivals put on quite a performance Friday night at Wylie East.

In the end, it took a heck of a kick from the Lady Raiders’ Elli Garcia to provide the winning points, which she did in a 1-0 Wylie East victory over Wylie.

Friday’s contest might have gone Wylie’s way had it not been for a couple of excellent first-half saves by East goalie Aliyah Revely, which kept the score at 0-0 entering halftime. The Lady Raiders also had chances to score in the opening stanza but were turned away by the Wylie defense.
