East racks up several early wins

It’s been a good non-district season for the Raiders.

Now, they’ll look to carry that momentum into 13-4A competition, which began Tuesday with Denison. That’ll be followed by tournament games at Lake Highlands and Richardson High School, starting Thursday and running through Saturday. District play resumes Tuesday, March 12 at Wylie.

“We’re kind of excited going in,” said head coach Heath Andrews after his team’s 6-2-1 preseason performance. “The pitching has gone well for us … We’re playing pretty solid.”
