The Pirates’ hopes of reaching the 2011 playoffs hit another snag with last week’s 26-21 loss to Rockwall Heath.
Although making the postseason remains a possibility, it would take a considerable sequence of events to make it happen.
Head coach Bill Howard said, “We are officially out of controlling our own destiny.”
The Pirates’ 1-4 record against the District 10-4A field includes losses to the top three teams: Highland Park, Heath and Wylie East.
