Some may see the kickboxing helmet worn on the volleyball court by Leah Casey, a two-year varsity athlete for the Lady Raiders, as cause for discomfiture. 
 

However others see it as a sign of courage.
 

Casey suffered a serious concussion early last season and sustained a milder one at the start of this year.
