District season gets going

 Staff Report

The District 10-4A schedule opened Sept. 9 with Wylie at home for J.J. Pearce and Wylie East traveling to McKinney. 
The Lady Pirates matched Pearce point for point in the early going but eventually fell 25-16, 25-16, 25-17. 
Wylie looked to get on track in Tuesday’s contest at Highland Park. They host McKinney North Sept. 16 and play at Wylie East Sept. 20.

Wylie East
The Lady Raiders came up short against McKinney in the district opener. 
After getting rattled in game one 25-15, they battled to close the gap in the next two games. They fell in those games 25-20 and 25-22.
