The start of the 2011 high school football season is just weeks away and The Old Coach Friday Night Football Texas magazine has released their predictions.
Wylie
The Pirates barely missed playing for a state championship last season. The Wylie Home team lost to Denton Ryan in the semifinals.
The Old Coach sees the team staying in the postseason picture picking them to finish second in District 10-4A. In the top spot is No. 6 state-ranked Highland Park, and taking the other postseason spots are Rockwall-Heath and Rockwall.
Rounding out the standings were McKinney North, McKinney, Richardson Pearce and cross-town rival Wylie East.
During the 4A Div. I playoffs, the 12th ranked Pirates are expected to knock off Carrollton Smith and then be eliminated by Dallas Carter.
