Seven Pirates sign letters in National Signing Day ceremony

Seven Wylie High School athletes, all football players, signed national letters of intent during a Wednesday morning ceremony in the WHS auditorium.
Toby Ball, a three-year starter at linebacker, signed with the University of New Mexico. The Lobos compete in the NCAA Mountain West Conference.
Noah Cheshier signed with Louisiana Tech University, a member of the NCAA Western Athletic Conference. Cheshier played two years at tight end, the position he will play for the Bulldogs, before moving to quarterback.
Colby Harper, a three-year starter at receiver, signed with the University of South Alabama. The Jaguars compete in the NCAA Sunbelt Conference.
Nick Knott, a two-year starter at tailback, is headed to Wake Forest University. The Demon Deacons play in the NCAA Atlantic Coast Conference.
Receiver Aaron Morris signed with The University of Texas at El Paso. The Miners compete in NCAA Conference USA.
Zach Lowe, a three-year starter at defensive back, signed with Northeastern State University. The RiverHawks are an NCAA Div. 2 university competing in the Lone Star Conference.
Elias Umana, a three-year letterman on the offensive line, signed with the Crimson Storm of Southern Nazarene University. SNU is a member of the NAIA.
