Memorial services for Charles Edward Morgan, 84, of Garland were held May 8, 2009, at First United Methodist Church of Garland.

Mr. Morgan died May 4.

 

He was born Aug. 8, 1924, in Vernon to Grace Charlton Morgan and William Curtis Morgan.

 

Mr. Morgan graduated from Highland Park High School, served in the United States Navy during World War II aboard the USS Repose in the Pacific and worked for Mobil Oil in Dallas until his retirement.

Mr. Morgan was a member of First United Methodist Church of Garland for 53 years.

 

Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Kostue; son, David Chandler Morgan; grandchildren, Kimberly Pellicore, Kelli Kostue, Elizabeth Knapp and Jonathan David Morgan; great-grandchildren, Ty Pellicore, Maggie Grace Pellicore and Cooper Knapp.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Jane Chandler Morgan, and his parents.
