Funeral services for Kenneth Harlen Scoggins, 77, of Wylie, were held Jan. 21, 2013, at The Refuge Chuch in Wylie, with Pastor L. Chancy Gore officiating.  Interment followed at the Millwood Cemetery in Lavon.

Mr. Scoggins passed away Jan. 18, 2013, in Garland.

He was born on Nov. 14, 1935, to the late William Ennis Scoggins and Minnie Evelyn Gregory Scoggins in Henderson.  He married Darlene Swearingen on Aug. 12, 1976, in Paris.  He was a member of The Refuge Church in Wylie.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Scoggins of Wylie; children, the Rev. Nathan Scoggins and his wife Bertha of San Antonio, Christy Figueroa and her husband Josh of Powderly and Amy Conkle and her husband Brent of Wylie; brothers, Randy Scoggins of Lake Palestine and Billy Scoggins of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Betty Carlisle, Mary Smith and Gloria Pirtle, all of Paris; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
