Mr. Tandy Clyde White of Merit passed away at his residence Saturday evening, Sept. 15, 2012.

He was born Jan. 31, 1959, in McKinney, the son of Tandy and Delores Story White.

He was a general contractor in the construction business and was self-employed. He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tandy White of Merit; and his siblings, Deborah Grubbs and her husband Paul of Merit, Margaret Chadwick, also of Merit, Robert Clelland and his wife Dianne of Winnsboro and Burton White and his wife Sharon of McKinney. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wylie, with the Rev. David Meeks officiating, and interment followed at the Merit Cemetery in Merit.
