A memorial service for David Dean Brown, 70, was held Aug. 31, 2012, at Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Wylie. The Rev. Kerry Sampson officiated.  A private committal service will be held at a later date at the DFW National Cemetery.

Mr. Brown died Aug. 27, 2012, in Wylie.

He was born in Gladewater to the late Perry Alvin Brown and Helen (Ynez) Brown.

Survivors include his daughters, Shelley Burns and her husband Steve of Wylie and Kelly Lyn Garcia and her husband Raymond of Los Angeles, Calif.; son, Mark Brown of Wylie; brother, James Brown of Euless; sister, Perrilyn Gilliam of Rockwall; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
