A memorial service for Dr. Stuart S. Wallace Jr. will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at Eastridge Church of Christ, 485 N. FM 549 in Rockwall.

He passed away early Sunday morning, Aug. 5, 2012, at his home in Rockwall. 

Stuart was preceded in death by his parents, Stuart and Betty Wallace; his brother, Larry Wallace; and his son, Rodney Wallace. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Connie; his sister, Jan Shewmaker and her husband John; his daughters, Pam Wilson and Shari Wallace; his son, Lon Wallace and his wife Peggy; his son Trey Wallace and his wife Stacie; his granddaughter, Melanie Jones and her husband Colt; his granddaughters, Christina, Erica and Reese Wallace; his grandsons, Brian and Brett Wilson and Hudson and Mason Wallace; and his great-grandson, Brayden Wilson. 

Stuart practiced dentistry for more than 50 years, first in Dallas and later moving his practice to Wylie where he and his family were longtime residents.  While living in Wylie, Stuart and Connie were members of Lake Highlands Church of Christ.  They are now members of Eastridge Church of Christ in Rockwall. 

Stuart Wallace never met a stranger. He greeted both new and old friends in the same manner, with a genuine smile and a big hug.
