Clyde Ray McClain, 81, formerly of Sachse, passed away Aug. 3, 2012, in Tyler.
He was born Jan. 5, 1931, to Vernon E. and Pearl (Welch) McClain in Waco. He married Joyce Blasingame in February of 1953. Clyde served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was Baptist and also a member of Texas Thoroughbred Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leslie E. McClain; and two sisters, Rilda L. McCorkle and Leta V. Cardwell.
Clyde is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joyce McClain; two sons, Sydney C. Hunter and his wife Sheryl and Clyde Dale Foxell; daughter, Joy Gregary and her husband Earl; three sisters, Tommie L. Hefflefinger, Mildred L. Woodruff, and Mary G. Stamm; and 13 grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 6, 2012, at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Anna Hosemann-Butler officiated. Interment followed in Sachse Cemetery, Sachse.
