Jeffery Douglas Donaldson, 63, was born Jan. 26, 1949, in Pekin, Ill. to Clinton Douglas Donaldson and Sammy (Elliott) Donaldson Zeller. He passed away July 19, 2012, at his home in Yukon, Okla.
Jeffery served in Vietnam in 1968 as a member of the U.S. Army. He came to Yukon from South Carolina in June 2007. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 627 Oklahoma. Jeffery worked across the country as a crane operator for 42 years.
Jeffery is survived by his wife, Nancy Donaldson; sons, Jeffery Donaldson, Clinton Donaldson and Kalin Donaldson; daughters, Sarra Curry, Valary Groter and Kathyrine Donaldson; and 19 grandchildren.
Jeffery and Nancy Donaldson were married in Greenwood, S.C. on Dec. 23, 2001. On June 9, 2012, Chaplain Duane Snavely of Mercy Hospice officiated at their ceremony as they renewed their vows. While the service itself was private, several hundred people across the country were offering prayers at that moment.
Thank you to Mercy Hospice for the support and care they provided, particularly our nurse Becky. A special thank you is extended to the network of friends who gave us privacy during Jeff’s illness but saw to it that we had whatever we needed to allow us to make the best of our last weeks together.

Memorial services were held at 3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home. Interment was private.
