Harvey Wayne Miles of Wylie passed away on July 17, 2012. He was 80 years of age. 

Harvey was born on Oct. 25, 1931, in Center City to Harvey Carroll and Beulah Mae (Kerby) Miles. On Jan. 14, 1950, he married his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Ray Clapp in Baytown.

Before retirement, he owned and operated Harvey Miles Plumbing Company for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Luvina Sullivan and Janie Ellsworth; and five brothers, Doyle T. (Pete) Miles, Olan Thurber Miles, Robert M. (Mitch) Miles, Charles K. (Chock) Miles, and J.C. (Jude) Miles; and one grandson, Jesse Hight.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy R. Miles of Wylie; one son and his wife, Gary and Robin Miles; three daughters, Linda Kay Miles of Lewisville, Peggy Kotinek and her husband Jerry of Grand Prairie, and Melody Turnbull of Wylie; nine grandchildren, Pamela, Jonathan, Robert, Sara, Justin, Taylor, Amber, RiCi and Erin; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Harvey was laid to rest in Wylie Cemetery on July 19, 2012. He will be greatly missed.
