Funeral services for Elbert Lafayette Fletcher, 71, of Lavon, were held June 25, 2012, at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Fletcher died June 21, 2012, in Garland.

He was born in Wood County, Aug. 26, 1940.  Mr. Fletcher served in the U.S. Air Force, and he worked and retired from the city of Garland, as a mechanic. 

Survivors include his loving wife, Carolyn Fletcher (Lansberry); daughter, Lisa Vess; son, Kenneth Fletcher; son, John Fletcher; daughter, Lisa Pollard; and son Rick Pollard; brother, Richard Fletcher and sister, Virginia O’Quinn; grandchildren, Lindsay, Sybil, Kolten, Kendle, Johnathon, Mattie and Gabrielle; great- grandchildren, Rayleigh, Kamrynn, Brayden. 

He was preceded in death by grandson, Kory Taylor Fletcher.

Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
