A memorial service for Isola Duncan, age 65, of Wylie was held June 10, 2012, at Wylie United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Duncan passed away June 7, 2012. She was born May 22, 1947, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Benjamin Houston Duncan and Freda Lorene (Starit) Duncan. Mrs. Duncan was a teacher on the Pima Indian reservation and served on a committee that recorded their native language for future generations. She was a member of Wylie United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Milton and her husband Jeff of Wylie; grandson, Matthew Milton; brothers, Ben Duncan of California and Fred Duncan of Colorado; sister, Anna Wood of Tennessee; niece, Amanda Kendall of California; great-niece, Emerald Kendall; and numerous cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Louise Canfield; and nephew, Johnathan Canfield.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rest Haven Rockwall Chapel in Rockwall.
