Funeral services for Dorothy M. Clark, 87, of Wylie, were held Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft St., Merrillville, Ind. With the Rev. Mark Jobe (nephew of Dorothy) officiating. Interment followed at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, Ind.
Mrs. Clark went home to be with our Lord Friday, May 18, 2012.
She is survived by her six children, Cathy Bell, Barb Burke and her husband John, Bev McLain and her husband Don, Jerry Clark and his wife Susan, Ron Clark and his wife Marcy and Dave Clark and his wife Tammy; 22 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Neal and Minnie Jobe; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, James Clark; brothers, Robert Paul and Clyde Huey French; son-in-law, Bruce Bell; and favorite brother-in-law, Bob Jobe.
Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wylie and attended Bethel Church in Crown Point, Ind. She really enjoyed Happy Circle, The Silver Chords and being involved with church activities for as long as she was able. She retired from the Merrillville School Corporation where she was a secretary for many years. Dorothy was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
