Funeral services for Commie G. Parker, 83, of Wylie, were held May 8, 2012, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Wylie. Interment followed at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.

Father Andrew Semler officiated.

Mrs. Parker died May 7.

She was born July 5, 1928, in Booneville, Ark., to Fred Griffin and Commie Dora Griffin.  She married James L. Parker on March 4, 1950, in Dallas.

She was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Wylie.

Survivors include her husband, James L. Parker of Wylie; and brothers-in-law, E. Jack Parker and his wife Mary of Pittsburg and Charles Parker of Fort Worth.

Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home.
