Gilbert Harlan Piel, 68, of Murphy, passed away March 2 of acute heart failure.
He graduated from Hastings Senior High School in Hastings, Neb. He was employed at The Sale in Josephine.
Survivors include his two daughters, Holly Smith of Murphy and Cherrie Dimler of Hastings, Neb.; and two grandchildren, Stephanie and Dash.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Neville and Helen Piel.
No services are scheduled at this time. Please send all condolences to the family.
