Funeral services for Jeremi D Stiner, 27, were held Oct. 28, 2011, at Charles W. Smith and Sons Sachse Chapel. Interment followed at Sachse Cemetery.
Mr. Stiner died Oct. 23 at his home in Murphy.
He was born Sept. 11, 1984, in Anaheim, Calif. to parents, Douglas and Angela Griffin Stiner.
“J” graduated from Plano East High School in 2006, alongside his sister, Brittany. He made his home in Murphy. He volunteered at the VFW in Orange, Calif. for many years. He was active in the Special Olympics. His ribbons are displayed on the wall of fame at his parents’ home. Jeremi’s passions were pro wrestling, Rocky Balboa and a variety of music and movies. He collected thousand of pennies, “one for every smile he brought to someone’s face,” his family said.
Survivors include his parents, Douglas and Angela Stiner; brother, Doug Stiner; sister, Brittany; grandmother, Edna Tears; uncle, Gary Griffin; aunt, Karen Clancy; uncle, Bruce Griffin; uncle, Brian Tuche; and uncle, Bruce Tuche.
“Jeremi was a very special gift from heaven, blessing us with 27 years of joy. He was the undisputed champion of our hearts. Jeremi, you will be forever missed and never forgotten,” his family said.
Arrangements were under the direction of Charles W. Smith & Sons in Sachse.
