Funeral services for Billy Ray Myrick, 80, of Parker, will be held at 2 p.m., Oct. 13, 2011, at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Fitzhugh Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Allen Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 12.
Pastor Brock Boggs will officiate.
Mr. Myrick died Oct. 8 in Dallas.
He was born Jan. 10, 1931, in Parker to the late Leonard Houston Myrick and Winnie Bell Spence Myrick. He married Virginia Nell Johnson May 31, 1958, in Beaumont. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his son, John Myrick and his wife Katy of Richardson; daughter, Phyllis Stake and her husband Richard of Parker; sister, Wanda Jean Cheek of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and six grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
