Mr. Marquez died Aug. 24.

He was born Nov. 3, 1959, in North Hollywood, Calif., to Alfred and Gloria Marquez. He married Christina on Aug. 25, 1984.

The family said most weekends he could be found on a basketball court, soccer or baseball field. “He loved his family with a passion rarely seen.  His children have lost a wonderful father, his wife, her best friend,” they said.

Survivors include his wife, Christina; children, Cassie, Brandon and Bradley; siblings, Ron and Debbie and her husband Gus; sisters-in-law, Edie Russek, Bonny Hidas, Bonnie Olson and her husband Dan, Lisa Nolan and her husband Mike;  brother-in-law Andy Hidas and his wife Robyn; survived by numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Susan and Edmund Hidas, and brothers-in-law Ron and Pete.
