Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, Forney.

Mrs. Wells died July 10.

She was born May 2, 1927, in Forney, to Olga and Murtis Dickerson.  

She lived most of her life in Forney until she married Eldridge Lois Wells Aug. 9, 1947.  They moved to Heath and lived there until 1968, then moved to Chisom where they lived until 1988 when they moved to Garland.

Mrs. Wells worked for the Varo Corp. for 33 years until she retired May 27, 1994.

Survivors include her son, Danny Wayne Wells and his wife Pam; daughter, Genita LaRue Lorang; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.

“Lula was one of the kindest, gentlest souls that ever walked this Earth and she will be missed by all of us,” her family said. “We love you, Mother.”
