Mrs. Self’s nephew, Dwayne Attebury, officiated.

Mrs. Self died June 25 in Wylie.

She was born Feb. 24, 1922, in Wylie to Robert Martin (Jake) Hall and Bertha Grisby Hall.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Leonard (Sam) Self; sons, Don Self and Bobby Self of Wylie; sisters, Ruby Pelton of Wylie and Patsy Bennett of Georgia; and daughter-in-law, Verna Self of Wylie. 

She is also survived by five grandchildren, Mark Self and his wife Kim of Mt. Pleasant, Matt Self and his wife Joanna of Abilene, Karen Colbeck and her husband Billy of Dallas, Chad Self and his wife Kim of Houston, and Alecia Rains and her husband Mark of Wylie; 11 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. 

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Cecil Hall; and sister, Audie Bradley.
