Mrs. Scott died May 25 in Sachse.

She was born Feb. 8, 1932, in Dallas, to Ballus C. and Lorraine (Brooks) Busby.

She was a graduate of the Baylor Nursing School and worked in nursing throughout her working life.  Mrs. Scott, her husband Lewis and daughter Rainey lived in Mesquite for many years and attended Galloway Road Baptist Church.  They traveled extensively and had a home in Harlingen where they attended the Church of Christ Church of Harlingen. They moved to Wylie to be closer to Rainey and her family.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Lewis Scott; daughter, Rainey Olson and her husband Evan; grandchildren, Eric, Hannah, Lydia, Luke and Mark; niece, Diane Walker and numerous other family members. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Gloria Newton.

Arrangements were under the direction of Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Sachse.
