Funeral services for Dr. Terrill Trimble Jr., 84, were held May 24, 2011, at the First Christian Church of Wylie. Interment folllowed at the Wylie Cemetery.
Pastor Paul Trimble officiated.
Dr. Trimble died May 14.
He was born Jan. 4, 1927, in Fort Worth to Terrill Marshall Sr. and Eileen Hope Llewellyn Trimble.
He married Julia “Judy” Marie Lindenmayer June 11, 1950, in Houston, the day before he graduated from medical school.
After living in Fort Worth for the first years of their marriage, they moved to Wylie to replace the longtime physician who had left. Dr. Trimble set up a clinic and hospital where he took care of the medical needs of Wylie and surrounding towns, according to his family. Mrs. Trimble ran the clinic and assisted him in some surgeries. “They were a great team,” his family members said.
Dr. and Mrs. Trimble had six children: Terry, Chuck, Ted, Carrie, Moie and Paul.
He married Bonni Hesser Daniel April 1, 2005 following the death of his first wife in 2004.
Dr. Trimble is survived by his wife Bonni, his son Terry and his wife Sheila and their children Strider, Jim and his wife Becky, and Hunter; his son Chuck and his wife Tena and their children Tommy and Frank, and his fiancee Kristin, his son Ted and his wife Gretchen and their children James, Tyler and his wife Rachel, Sarah and Rebekah; his daughter Carrie and her husband Mike and their children Katie and her husband Collin Brace, Johnny and his wife Marcy and their daughter Sara; his daughter Moie and her husband Scott, their children Andi and her husband Wesley Thomas and their sons Cade and Jonah, their daughter Darby; their daughter Natalie and her husband Matt Rich and their sons Preston and Peyton; their daughter Whitney; their daughter Julie and her daughter Riley, his son Paul and his wife Bebe and their children Annie, Jack and Dawson.
He is also survived by his stepchildren, Sherry and her husband Kim, Bud and Jim and his children Jeremiah, Joy and Joshua.
Dr. Trimble is also survived by his older sister Anne Trimble Kohler and her son Danny.
He left behind many dear friends, foster children and patients who meant so much to him, his family said.
Dr. Trimble was preceded in death by his wife Judy, his parents, nephews and other loved ones.
The family asks that all money that would be used for plants or flowers be given in Dr. Trimble’s memory to Bent Tree Church, 2307 Estrella Ave., Loveland, CO 80538.
