Funeral services for Glen S. Wood, 87, of Royse City were held May 18, 2011, at Wylie Bible Church.
The Rev. Sue Gross officiated, and interment followed at Wylie Cemetery.
Mr. Wood died May 15.
He was born Aug. 9, 1923, in Murphy to the late Hosey Wood and Maggie Starnes Wood.
He married Fanella Acres Brigham Jan. 18, 1944, in Plano. They were married 67 years.
Mr. Wood was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Tinney Chapel Methodist Church in Winnsboro.
He is survived by his wife, Fanella Wood of Royse City; children, Martha Wallace of Forney, Mary Freeman of Rockwall and Tommy Wood of Caddo Mills; sister, Janet Stephenson of Garland; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
