Ruth Ellen Frederick, 70, of Wylie, died May 7, 2011.

She was born Feb. 4, 1941, in Van Alstyne to the late James and Ila Fay (Langford) Rodgers. She was a longtime resident of the Wylie area and left behind many friends and relatives, her family said.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Doodie Frederick; sister, Betty Ulch; sons, Dareld Croley, Jess Croley and his wife Carmen  and Rodney Croley; daughters, Judy Woolf and Kim Croley; nine grandchildren, Curtis Eaves and his wife Latisha, Jason Woolf and his wife Amber, Travis Croley, Sam Croley, Amanda Croley, Ashley Hill, Clint Woolf, Jess Croley and Emma Croley; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Eaves, Autumn Eaves and Peyton Woolf; three step-children; and two step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ila Fay (Langford) Rodgers; sister, Barbara Young; and great-grandson, Jacob Noah Eaves.
