Martin Fredrick Grant, 48, died May 2, 2011, in Sachse.

He was born March 21, 1963, in Dallas to the late Raymond and Monette Grant.

He was involved in Boy Scouts and sports while growing up. He played basketball and baseball until he found his talent in soccer, his family said. He graduated from Lake Highlands High School in Dallas then earned a Bachelor of Science in geology from Stephen F. Austin State University. He settled in Dallas where he married and had a career in telephone technology. 

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Grant; children, KayLee Grant of Stephenville, Fabio Grant and Wesley Grant, both of Sachse; siblings, Greg Grant of Dallas and Bruce Teague and his wife Rhea Anne; nephew, Jeremy Teague; niece, Jessica Teague of Gladewater; and many in-laws, cousins, friends and other extended family, “who will greatly miss Martin’s presence in their lives,” family members said.
