Funeral services for Calvin Petroff, 61, of Garland were held April 23, 2011, at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Sachse Chapel.
Mr. Petroff died April 20 in Dallas.
He was born March 21, 1950, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Calvin D. Petroff Sr. and Albertine (Schmitz) Petroff.
Mr. Petroff was a 30-year resident of Garland who loved racing jet boats, his family said. They said he was a NASCAR and Dallas Cowboys sports fan.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Margaret (Roberts) Petroff; children, Chad Petroff, James Petroff and his wife Kimberly, David Petroff and his wife Cathleen, Joey Petroff and his wife Robin, Kim Rimpley and her husband Greg, and James Welch and his wife Phyllis; grandchildren, Quelea, Christina, Harlee, Darious, Haley, Lucas, Peyton, Christy, Riley, Sabrina, Johnna and Zach; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Mikayla, Madison and Joe.
Arrangements were under the direction of Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Sachse.
