Funeral services for Violet Hall Steelman, 93, of Wylie were held April 6, 2011, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Pastor Justin Wheeler and the Rev. Gary Henry officiated.
Mrs. Steelman died April 3 in Wylie.
She was born June 3, 1918, in Sulphur Springs, to the late James Monroe Hall and Lou Singleton Hall. She married the late L.B. Steelman July 5, 1936, in Sulphur Springs.
Survivors include her children, Lois Watson of Wylie, Pauline Nickols of Arlington, Ken Steelman of Wylie, L.D. Steelman of Dallas, Jerry Steelman of Copeville, Susie Simmons of Wylie, Archie Steelman of Copeville; 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lou Ellen Duncan and son, James Steelman.
Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
