Funeral services for R.E. “Gene” Eubank of Lavon were held at March 11 at First United Methodist Church in Farmersville with Jimmy Guvvala officiating.
Interment followed in the Thompson Cemetery in Copeville.
Mr. Eubank died March 8 in Farmersville. He was born Sept. 9, 1908, in Nevada, the son of Robert S. and Mary Randall Eubank.
He married Mary Boyd July 21, 1934, in Murphy. She preceded him in death Jan. 24, 2010.
Mr. Eubank, a retired farmer, was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Farmersville for 55 years.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Phyliss NeSmith of Lavon, Barbara Turner and her husband Tommy of Wylie, and Martha Moses and her husband Dana of Garland. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Amy Boerner and her husband David of Lavon, Jason Moses of Lavon, and Emily Turner of Wylie; three great-grandchildren, Christopher Boerner and Nicholas Boerner, both of Fort Worth, and Colton Moses of Lavon.
