James Kenneth Cooper, 70, of Garland died Feb. 9, 2011, in Garland.  

Mr. Cooper was born in Wapanucka, Okla., June 29, 1940. His parents were the late Roy Cooper and Louise Cathey Cooper.  

He graduated in 1958 from Wapanucka High School. He retired after working 32 years with Coca-Cola Company and then became a bus driver for the Garland Independent School District where he worked for 12 years.

Survivors include his children, Misty Rodriguez, Tina Delgado and her husband Audie and James Derrick Cooper and his wife Anita; former wife, Mary Cooper; sister, Mary Rogers; grandchildren, Jesse Rodriguez, Ray Armanda, Jacob Armanda, Jessica Rodriguez, Kayla Cooper, Ariel Rodriguez, Autumn Delgado, Audie Delgado Jr., Madison Delgado and Peyton Delgado; and great-grandchildren, Vann Clark and Gracie Rodriguez.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Cooper and Louise Cathey; children, James Kenneth Cooper Jr., Baby Cooper and Tammie Sue Cooper; and brother, Ralph Cooper.

Funeral services were held Feb. 11 at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Wylie with Pastor John Lee officiating. A service was held at the Brown’s Funeral Home Chapel in Atoka, Okla., Feb. 12, with interment following at the Boggy Depot Cemetery in Atoka, Okla.

Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home in Wylie.
