Funeral services for Ida Pearl Scholz, 84, of Garland were held Jan. 25, 2011, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment followed at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rowlett.

Father Andrew Semler officiated.

Mrs. Scholz died Jan. 22 in Garland.

She was born Aug. 8, 1926, to the late Ben C. and Nettie S. Wood. 

She married Ernest Louis Scholz on Aug. 17, 1945, in Lubbock. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Scholz was a lead line lady for Johnson, Inc. of Wylie. 

Her family said she loved to sew and had made many things for them over the years, including quilts they particularly treasure.

She was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Survivors include her sons, Ben Scholz and Ron Scholz, both of Wylie; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
