Funeral services for James R. Jones Sr., 78, of Nevada were held Jan. 13, 2011, at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Wylie. Interment followed at the Nevada Cemetery. The Rev. Harold Williams officiated.
Mr. Jones died Jan. 10 in Rowlett.
He was born Aug. 1, 1932, in Danville, Ark., to the late Frank “Casey” Jones and Neva Alberta Hicks Jones. He married Euna Faye Martin Sept. 29, 2001, in Wylie. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Garland.
Survivors include his wife, Euna Faye Jones of Nevada; children, James R. Jones Jr. of Wills Point, Roy Allan Jones of Wills Point, John Simmons of Wylie and Cathy Harper of Nevada; sister, Katherine Williams of Balch Springs; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
