Funeral services for Sally Ann Taylor Watkins, 78, were held Dec. 22, 2010, at the Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens.

Mrs. Watkins died Dec. 19 in Athens. She was born Sept. 7, 1932, in Bonham to the late Thomas and Ruby Taylor.

Mrs. Watkins was a 1950 graduate of Wylie High School.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Kenneth Watkins, sons, Tom Watkins and his wife Mary of Wasilla, Alaska, Kenny Watkins and his wife Penni of Arlington, Stoney Watkins and his wife Michelle of Sulphur Springs and Doug Watkins and his wife Kayla of Rowlett; daughter, Tonna Mooring and her husband Tommy of Winnsboro; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

According to her family, Mrs. Watkins was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, as well as a business partner with her husband in the carpet business. She enjoyed taking cruises, visiting her son in Alaska, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
