Graveside services for Nell Sene Haney, 86, of Hernando, Miss. were held Dec. 27, 2010, in the Wylie Cemetery. Interment followed at the St. Paul Cemetery.

Minister Eric Hogue officiated.

Mrs. Haney died Dec. 21 in Memphis, Tenn. She was formerly of Wylie.

She was born Jan. 13, 1924, in Princeton to the late Bennett N. and Sibbie Ada (Rutledge) Capps. She married the late James Louis Haney Sept. 13, 1946, in Durant, Okla. She was of the Baptist faith and attended church in Millings, Tenn. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association. She was a retired seamstress.

Survivors include her son, James Patrick Haney Sr. of Hernando, Miss.; sister, Gertrude Johnson of Garland; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, Truddy Dorris.

Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
