Funeral services for Fred E. Tinch, 69, of Lucas will be held Dec. 11, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Branch.

The Rev. John Colyer will officiate.

Mr. Tinch died Dec. 1 in Plano.

He was born Feb. 10, 1941, in Fentress County, Tenn. to Walter Franklin Tinch and Odsie Lucille Larue Tinch.  He married Linda Clara Dretzka Dec. 5, 1959, in Morrow County, Ohio.

Mr. Tinch retired from the telecommunications company where he was an engineer and cofounder of Protocol Technology in Raleigh, N.C.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Branch.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Tinch of Lucas; children, Christine Tinch Michaels of Lucas, Rodney Walter Tinch of Plano and Frederick Paul Tinch of Lucas; brother, Coy Willis Tinch of Mansfield, Ohio; sister, Shirley Ruth McCown of Plano; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
