Funeral services for Katie Mae Morris, 80, of Bardwell were held Nov. 8, 2010, at the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel. Interment followed at Frost Cemetery.

Mrs. Morris died Nov. 4, 2010, in Bardwell.

She was born Sept. 7, 1930, in Idabell, Okla. to the late George and Catherine (Gordy) Sharp. She grew up in Wylie. In 1952 she married Alton Morris. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include her son, David Morris and his wife Ida; daughters, Lynda Cocke and Frances Morris; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Funeral services were under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
