Funeral services for Lorine Simmons Smith, 96, of Garland were held Nov. 6, 2010, at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Wylie.

and Bro. A.C. Simmons Jr. officiated.

Mrs. Smith died Nov. 1 in Pittsburg.

She was born June 18, 1914, to the late A.C. Simmons and Nellie Murry Simmons. She married Iley Smith Dec. 19, 1933, in Greenville. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include daughter, Lou Smith Allen and her husband Tommy George of Garland; brother, A.C. Simmons Jr. of Duncanville; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, A.C. and Nellie Simmons; husband, Iley Smith; and son, Michael Iley Smith.

Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
