Funeral services for Kristin Joy Combs Settles, 38, of Wylie were held Oct. 16, 2010, at Central Christian Church in Richardson.  Interment followed at Trinidad Cemetery in Trinidad.

Mrs. Settles died Oct. 14, 2010, in Plano.

She was born Dec. 5, 1971, in Dallas to Bill and Darlene Combs.  She worked as a nurse for 15 years and, according to her family, she loved her profession.

Survivors include her husband, Taylor Shane Settles; sons, Brennan Settles, Zackary Settles and Nicholas Settles; daughters, Taylor Murrell and Madisyn Settles; parents, Bill and Darlene Combs of Trinidad; sister, Rhonda Combs of Trinidad; brother, Randall Combs and his wife Shelia; nephews, Joseph and Josh Combs of Springfield, Mo.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinidad Cemetery, P. O. Box 295, Trinidad, TX in memory of Kristin Settles.
