Franklin David “Butch” Rice Jr., 54, of Cleveland died Sept. 23, 2010.   

Funeral services were Sept. 27 at First Baptist Church in Cleveland. Pastor Russ Tynan and Pastor Bill Conlee officiated.  

He was born Aug. 19, 1956, in Houston to Carolyn and Franklin David Rice Sr. 

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Rice; mother, Carolyn Rice; children, Julia Broyles and her husband Kevin, Michael Rice and his wife Amber, and Gregory Rice and his wife April; siblings, Robert Rice and his wife Darlene, Jimmy Rice and his wife Becky, Tina Tapp and her husband James, Christopher Rice and his wife Carissa, Cindy Manthey and her husband Carl, and Sharon Parkman and her husband, Jim; grandchildren, Alysa, David, Dayla, Seth, Luke, Zoe, Emma, Courtlynn and Baby Braxton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many other cherished family members and treasured friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends from First Baptist Church Cleveland served as pallbearers.
