Funeral services for Gary Wade Brown, 57, of Garland were held Oct. 1, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Wylie.

Dr. Kris Segrest officiated.

Mr. Wade died Sept. 24 in Dallas.

He was born Oct. 8, 1952, in Dallas to the late Onal Lee Brown Jr. and Betty Jean Shopher Brown. Mr. Brown married Sandra Gail Ashenfelter Dec. 6, 1974, in Dallas.

Prior to his illness, Mr. Brown was employed by Chubs Wrecker Service where he was a wrecker opreator. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wylie. He served in the United States Army  and  was a Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Brown; children, Ryan Brown of McKinney, Tonja Coykendall and Stephanie Maddalena; mother, Betty Brown; brother, David Brown and sister, Kathy Case; and seven grandchildren.
