Funeral services for Mickey Don Foster, 65, of Wylie were held Sept. 8, 2010, at the Cottonwood Church of Christ. Interment followed at the Wylie Cemetery.

Minister Eric Hogue and Minister Jim Hatcher officiated.

Mr. Foster died Sept. 5 in Garland.

He was born Jan. 7, 1945, to the late Luther C. Foster and Dorris Merritt. He was a member of the Cottonwood Church of Christ. He married Patsy Louise Schultz on Oct. 23, 1964, in Wylie.

His family said Mr. Foster “often said that if he can’t fix something, that it can’t be fixed. He was a talented electrician and HVAC specialist. He was a strong, well-respected man that made a difference in this world. Everyone that met him fell in love with his sense of humor, caring personality and wisdom.” 

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Louise Foster of Wylie; son, Michael Craig Foster of Wylie; daughter, Tracy M. Burk of Wylie; brother, Jim Foster of Dallas; sister, Charlotte Lee of Wylie; and three grandchildren, Layne Foster, Mallory Tippin and Brendon Baskeyfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Dorris Foster; sister, Darla Clemons; and brothers, David Foster and Randy Spence.

Arrangments were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
