Karen Lou Cook, 73, of Wylie died Aug. 13 in Plano.  
She was born Jan. 10, 1937, in Cherryville, Kan. to the late Alvin and Marjorie (Medsker) Wages.
Mrs. Cook was retired from Oklahoma Gas and Electric.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Cook.
Survivors include her children, Dondi Field and her husband Greg  of Wylie and Donald Wood and his wife Terrie of Fort Worth; sisters, Nita Hammer of Lockhart, Judy Smetana of Medford, Okla, Chris Harmon of Enid, Okla, and Sharon Jordan of San Antonio; brother, Kenny Wages of Oklahoma City, Okla; and six grandchildren.
Arrangments were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
